Good news! Prickly Pear Quilts (PPQ) has really grown over the last seven years. Bad news! Connie's only one person and even though she's pretty amazing at multi-tasking and juggling a multitude of priorities, it's becoming increasingly difficult for her to continue at this pace.
PPQ is seeking a 3/4 to full-time professional to join our team. This is a Lead Position - Salary - based on qualifications. Employee discount benefit
- Excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently, think critically, and to adapt to different situations, and customers
- A self starter. Able to anticipate what needs to be done and handle responsibilities accordingly
- Ability to work successfully with a team, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
- Dynamic presentation skills and ability to inspire sewing enthusiasts
- Ability to master, demonstrate and explain products; answer questions on our education and event programs and products; stay updated on product knowledge and be informed of any changes
- Handle customer concerns, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within reasonable time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
- Higher than average ability with computer and software applications. Operate a computer for communication, education and presentations
- Ability to quickly learn and/or use sewing and embroidery machines, quilting machines and embroidery software
- Ability to trouble-shoot and problem solve machines and electronic systems
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience with social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and the ability to add content
- Sewing and quilting skills required
- Ability to quickly learn fabric companies, designers and all things sewing
- High school diploma and customer service skills a must
