Prickly Pear Quilts initial Embroidery Gather and Stitch is scheduled for Friday, September 9, from noon to 9pm. Each month's gathering time is scheduled for those that work and those that don't. Join us at noon, whenever your workday ends or is convenient for you. The purpose of this gathering is to provide a fun environment for you to explore and learn your own embroidery machine. Projects will range from beginner to more advanced. We will help you find success with each project. Seat size is limited so sign up today!

Uniquely Personalized Cards

Friday's gathering will be a fun and easy lesson on how to stitch out special occasion cards right from your embroidery machine. Stitch out one or multiple cards. Explore and have fun! We will discuss how to further embellish your cards once they are stitched out. Supplies are included. Just bring your machine and a willingness to have fun! Machine Embroidery Gather and Stitch in October includes an additional two days of machine embroidery fun as we begin a tree skirt by Designs by juju.
Instant heirloom! Create a beautiful Christmas tree skirt that will be a family favorite for years to come! Customize with fabrics and thread of your choice, arranging the village however you'd like to make a unique project.
4 sizes included: 5x7, 6x10, 150 x 240 hoop (slightly smaller 6x10) and 8x12
Approximate finished sizes:
5x7 - 34.6" Diameter
6x10 - 47.7" Diameter
150 x 240 hoop (which is slightly smaller than the universal 6x10) - 41.5" Diameter
8x12 - 51.7" Diameter
Requires 45 hoopings. Fifteen applique blocks and thirty embroidery-only blocks are stitched completely in the hoop, and then joined together with your sewing machine. The backing and the binding are added with your sewing machine.
Easy to make and assemble! Our samples were all stitched on single-needle embroidery machines! Complete step by step PDF photo tutorial and detailed color charts included with your download. No additional software or cutting machines required.
Background fabric, design and thread is all you need to start. Machine stitchers are encouraged to bring scraps to class to share.
