Shipping & Delivery

Domestic Shipping inside the United States:

Prickly Pear Quilts (PPQ) strives to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Our standard (default) shipping method is USPS (United States Postal Service). Delivery is typically 1-4 days, excluding Sundays and holidays, but is not guaranteed. We do our best to process and ship same day or next, but please understand that 20 different fabrics verses a pattern may take just a little longer to process. Weather and conditions due to Covid, etc. may impact arrival time as well.

We try to keep shipping costs to a minimum. Our charges include shipping & handling, meaning not only will you be charged for the actual cost of shipping, but also for the other costs associated with shipping. These costs include but are not limited to, postage fees, envelopes, boxes, packing materials, tape, labels, equipment necessary for processing your orders (scales, software, dedicated printers etc.), and labor to process and package your order. These are just some of the costs directly associated with shipping your orders in a timely and

Customers are responsible for providing correct shipping addresses, phone numbers and email addresses when placing their ordering. If an order goes to a wrong address we will ask for your assistance in tracking down the package, such as contacting neighbors or your post office. We do not replace or reimburse for lost merchandise due to an incorrect address provided by the purchaser.
  1. Through our shipping program, there is $100 insurance coverage for lost or damaged merchandise. Merchandise that is reported as never arrived or stolen is not covered by insurance, nor will PPQ reimburse you or send new merchandise. If your order is lost or damaged, email us right away and we will submit a claim with USPS. USPS will conduct an investigation to determine if an order was delivered or lost and/or who is responsible for damage. Insurance reimbursement is at the sole discretion of the USPS and based on their investigation, not PPQ.
  2. PPQ may change standard shipping methods at our discretion if a shipment results in oversize charges. This most often would apply to orders that include sewing machines, batting, cutting mats, or other large items. Products noted as being shipped by a third party get shipped various methods, not always under our control.

Canadian Rates

• Orders up to $150 - $29.99 shipping*
• $150 - $200 - $59.99 shipping*
• $200 - $250 - $69.99

*Oversized, freight intensive, and orders with high customs fees will incur additional charges.

All prices are in USD. Packages to Canada are shipped via USPS First Class International or Priority Mail. We are aware that some international customers are charged customs, duties and taxes. This is beyond our control, and we suggest that you research Canada's policies. We understand that packages can be delayed going through customs, so we do our best to see that all rules are followed, and your packages arrive at your doorstep as swiftly as possible.

International Shipping Rates
At this time, we are only shipping internationally to Canada.

Return Policy

PPQ will gladly return merchandise if you are unhappy with it. There are some exceptions: Patterns, Block of the Months, kits, books, fabric that has been cut per your instructions, sewing machines and furniture. If you receive a product from us that is not what you thought you were getting, simply return it for a full refund. 

Refunds will be issued once returns are received and processed by us. Refunds will not be given for shipping charges. Refunds for refused or abandoned packages will be at our discretion.

All returns must be in new condition and include all original packaging. Returns that have a smoke odor will not be refunded. If an item has been used, it is not eligible to be returned.

Returns of products with Manufacturer Warranties: If you’ve purchased a product that came with a Manufacturer Warranty, please follow the instructions included with your product warranty for details on how to proceed for repair or replacement. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns of damaged or malfunctioning warrantied products.
